Council of Ministers Holds Its 39th Extraordinary, Phone, Session

CONCOLENCES TO FAMILIES FO VICTIMS: FINANCIAL RELEIEF AGREED FOR AREAS HIT BY FLOOD AND LANDSLIDES 

The Council of Ministers of BIH offered, at its extraordinary, phone, session, condolences to families of victims of catastrophic floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina, simultaneously expressing its deep solidarity with inhabitants of the affected areas, who will get financial assistance.

The Ministry of Security of BIH is responsible to extend all assistance available to flooded areas, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of BIH, in line with competences of Bosnia and Herzegovina Institutions, and based on requests received by the Operative-Communication Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In line with its responsibilities, the Ministry of Security should follow the state of affairs on the field and cooperate with responsible institutions of neighbouring countries, which have already expressed their readiness to extend assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina and seek international assistance from other counties as appropriate.

The Council of Ministers of BIH will approve funds from BIH Institutions Budget current reserves for support to citizens of the affected areas, in accordance with expressed needs of cantons, towns and municipalities. In that regard, the Ministry of Security will, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, prepare and send to the Council of Ministers of BIH a Proposal Decision approving current reserves funds to the flooded areas.

The Council of Ministers of BIH expresses its gratitude to domestic institutions, and foreign governments and international institutions, which expressed their readiness to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina and the flood-affected areas.
