Council of Ministers Holds Its 12th Extraordinary, Phone, Session

STRENGTHENINGOF REGIONAL COOPERATION: PROPOSAL AGREEMENT ON RECONGNITION OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICARIONS FOR NURSES, VETS, PHARMACISTS AND MIDWIFES 

The Council of Ministers defined unanimously a Proposal Platform of Agreement on Recognition of Professional Qualifications of Nurses, Veterinarians, Pharmacists and Midwifes, in the context of the Central-European Agreement on Free Trade, together with text Agreement proposed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and will send to the BIH Presidency.

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto was proposed for BIH signatory thereof, the signing of which was planned for the Berlin Process Summit in Tirana on October 16, 2023.

The Agreement facilitates experts’ mobility within the region by automatic recognition of professional qualifications for nurses, veterinarians, pharmacists and midwifes, thus strengthening regional cooperation and inciting the Western Balkans economic development.

The conclusion of the Agreement is one step forward in fulfilment of obligations Bosnia and Herzegovina has within the common reginal market, in line with the EU enlargement policy and related requirements, following earlier signed Agreement on Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Doctors of Medicine, Dentists and Architects,

By experts mobility support, Bosnia and Herzegovina gets a chance to achieve progress in health care, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy, and recently in architecture, with strengthening of competitiveness in these areas. (end)
